The Puppy Transfer process requires Breeders to have microchip details and a unique name for each pup. The puppy registered name you enter on the Puppy Transfer form will be the official name of the dog on the MRRA Dog Register. Please ensure that the name selected complies with point 4 of the Dog Register Rules Mar2023 . Transfer should be completed within 12 weeks of whelping or date of final sale if later than 12 weeks.

Puppy Transfer Details

To ensure that you are complying with privacy regulations, please confirm that you have advised your Puppy Owners that their information will be shared with the Murray River Retriever Association for the purpose of being signed up as a Puppy Buyer Associate membership valid until the next July 1 from registration. This entitles their pup to be fully registered on the MRRA Dog Register and receive a Registration Certificate and gives them access to the members only training and newsletters for that period.

The puppy registered name you enter here will form part of the official name of the dog on the register and are subject to the Dog Register Rules which can be found at MRRA Rules and By-Laws Please use a unique name not "Girl" or "blue collar" as this would register the dog as "Your Prefix Girl" or "Your Prefix Blue Collar". Do not use a number at the end of a name. We suggest selecting official names based on a Theme, eg. plants, places etc. Consider using a different themes for each new litter to avoid duplication and confusion on the register. The name that is given to the dog by the owner is recorded separately as the Call Name
